Arthur L. Dixon

Arthur L. Dixon, age 92, of Atco, NJ, formerly of Washington D.C., passed away on Monday February 1, 2021. Arthur was born in Jefferson, Texas to the late Marvin Dixon and Pearl (Phillips)Dixon. In 1941 at the age of 13, he and his brother Johnnie Marvin Dixon moved to Washington DC with their mother. He attended Armstrong High School and after graduating, he was drafted into the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. After serving honorable in the US Air Force, he worked as a postal carrier for the USPS and retired after serving over twenty-five years. After retiring from the postal service, Artie had several hobbies. His passion was pool, bowling, Bridge and investing in the stock market and rental property. He was also an avid Washington Redskins football fan. In addition, he owned and operated a limousine service. Artie, as he is known by all of his friends, was the Beloved husband of the late Alice Sneed. A loving father to the late daughter Paulette Yvonne Moore, son Jeffery Dixon, grandson Harry and his wife Kimberly Jones-Mudd and great-grand daughter Moriah Mudd. He leaves to cherish his only Dixon first cousin, Samuel Dixon, niece Paula Dixon Diggs, nephew Eric Dixon and several relatives. Cremation will be held privately. Services entrusted to the Leroy P.
