James Douglas Allen, Sr. JD Allen, 78, of Pine Barren, FL, joined his loving wife, Joan, February 1st, 2021. Doug was born August 21, 1946, in Century, FL. He was a proud United States Air Force Vet and retired from the United Steelworkers Union. Doug is survived by his loving children James Douglas Allen Jr. (Tonia), Paula Card (Jerry) and Dale King. Papaw will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Jodi Card, Eric Allen (Emily), Kristin Allen, and Shannon Edmonson as well as his great-grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Carley, Ryleigh, Jace, Brayden, CariAnn, CarraMaria, Jaxon, Kaliana and Adeline. Doug is also survived by his brothers, Shirley Allen (his favorite traveling buddy), Donald Allen, and David Allen. He is preceded in death by his wife Joan, parents, Rufus and Mattie Lou Allen, brothers Glenn and Billy Allen, and grandson, Jeremy Card. He will be missed by many nephews, nieces, and friends. Brother Wesley Alvarez will be officiating graveside services at Little Pine Barren Cemetery, February 13th, 2021. Honorary pallbearers are: David Allen, Jerry Card, Donnell Thomas, Charlie Allen, Bryan Allen, and Shannon Edmonson.
