Thomas Martin Obituary

Thomas Martin, age 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 1, 2021. Tom, best known as “Pops” was born November 5, 1942 in Northampton Massachusetts. As a child and young adult, Tom enjoyed playing football and baseball. He graduated from Amherst High School and he served in the US Air Force from 1960 to 1964. The passion Tom had for sports was often seen on the sidelines of a high school or college event as he was his children’s biggest fan and supported them throughout their sports careers. Tom loved the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the Boston Red Sox, and the New England Patriots. He enjoyed rooting against Alabama from the comfort of his recliner and he'd greet everyone with a “fair-to-middling." Tom is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Ann, daughters Stephanie Scharko, Lori Cavallo (Mike), Nichole Tomasello (Jeff), and son Thomas "Boomer" Martin (Kaeleigh), as well as seven granddaughters, Samantha, Gabriella, Marissa, Alexis, Rieley, Raegan, and Rowen. Tom will be especially missed by his dog, Macie. Visitation on Friday, February 12 shall take place between 2 and 4 PM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road, Hamilton , NJ 08619.
