Leo Wade
LEO WADE 1938 – 2021 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leo Wade announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on February 6, 2021 at the age of 82. Leo was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and retired from CNR. He is predeceased by his parents, John Arthur and Mary Jane Wade; parents-in-law, Patrick and Mary Cooke; brothers, James (Eileen), Albert, John (Dot), Mike (Lena), Clarence (Bertha), and Gerald; sisters, Regina and Catherine (Lloyd); and his special furry friend, Angel. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Josephine Wade (Cooke); son Paul (Shelley) of Sale, Chester, UK; and daughter, Lisa (Trevor) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Also leaving to mourn are his grandchildren, Aly and Devin; brother, Ray; sister, Barbara; brothers-in-law, Frank, Cyril, Patrick, and Ken; sisters-in-law, Rita, Phoebe, Sheila, Pats, Marg, and Ann; a large circle of nieces and nephews, his K of C family, CNR family, YMCA family, and his special furry friends Charlie and Louie. Services will take place at a later date. Donations may be made in his memory to the Exploits Valley SPCA. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.September 27, 1938 - February 6, 202109/27/193802/06/2021

To Leo's family, I was saddened to hear of Leo's passing ("Lee" to his Mansfield cousins) I was always so happy to see him when he dropped in at John's because I knew it would be a lively visit Rest in peace dear cousin til we meet again.

Sincere condolences to the Wade Family. Many fond memories of Leo during our time at CN. Great guy to work with, great story teller and friend. I will always remember his famous saying "wait till I tells ya!"
