Margaret "Peggy" Norcott

NORCOTT, Margaret "Peggy" (Raulinaitis), age 89, of Mashpee, MA formerly of Canton, MA, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving children on Thursday, February 4, 2021. Born in Brookline on May 2, 1931 to the late Margaret & William Raulinaitis, she was a 1953 graduate of Simmons College, where she received her BS in Nutrition and later a MS in Food and Nutrition in 1982 at Framingham State College. Peggy was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Edward T. Norcott whom she married on December 26, 1953. She was a kind friend to many and a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Peggy is survived by 8 children: Joseph Norcott and wife Dolores of Attleboro; Elizabeth Norcott Powers and husband Edward of St. Augustine, FL; Catherine Norcott and partner, Kevin McCarthy of Boston; Jim Norcott of Quincy; Louise Norcott of Whitman; Eddie Norcott and wife Xiao Mei Liu of China; Chris Norcott of Rockford, TN; Bill Norcott and fiancé, Hazel Lee of Dennis, MA. 15 grandchildren: David Norcott and his wife Jenny; Dan Norcott and his wife Sarah; Christy Powers Parsons and her husband Nick Parsons; Maggie Powers and her husband Howard Glasser; Edward Powers III; Matthew Powers; Jake Norcott Thornton; Jim Norcott, Jr. and his wife Sarah; John Norcott and his wife Amanda, Janelle Norcott; Stephen Norcott; Jason Norcott; Anna Norcott; Nick Norcott; Emma Norcott; 4 great-grandchildren: Lincoln Norcott, Zack Parsons, Jackson Glasser-Powers; Oliver Glasser-Powers and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Stephen Norcott; her parents, her sister, Mary Hamilton Rooney and brother, William Raulinaitis. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 8th at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish, 5 Linden Pl., Brookline at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. (COVID-19 guidelines will be followed in the church with use of facial coverings and social distancing.) A loved woman by her family and friends. Her exuberant personality always shown throughout her life. She was a loving and caring Aunt and was very hospitable. She will be surely missed. God gained an Angel the day she passed. Amen RIP Aunt Peggy
