Patricia “Pat” Hajduk, age 68, of Black River Falls, passed away unexpectedly on February 1, 2021 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI. Pat was born November 4, 1953 in Murphy, North Carolina to Homer “Lee” and Elnora (Hall) Zimmerman. The family relocated to the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area following her father’s career in construction. Following graduation from Bay View High School, she worked factory jobs before becoming a waitress. She married Gary Powless and moved to Black River Falls where he worked for the Wisconsin State Patrol. Together they had two children before he was tragically killed in the line of duty. In 1995, she met Bohdan “Bo” Hajduk, that was doing construction work at Pine Haven Resort in Hatfield. They hit it off so well, Bo never went back to Chicago. Pat and Bo were married on July 22, 1995. Pat worked several jobs in the Black River Falls area up until her retirement in 2011. She loved wolves and collected everything from paintings to ornaments. She also began collecting angels when her mother died. Each year she put up a Christmas tree that was all decked out with angels. Her biggest collection was Betty Boop, which had surpassed the custom cabinet made to display her treasures. Pat is survived by her loving husband, Bo; son, Garrett (Diana) Powless; daughter, Mistie Laufenberg; sister, Linda (d. Gerard) Januszewski; and grandchildren Koryn, Roger, Noah, Santana, and MJ; and great-grandchildren, Ari, Kezia, Zariah, Vera, Bentlei, Havannah, Bea, Haveah. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Zimmerman; brother-in-law Gerard “Jerry” Januszewski; and nephew Adam Januszewski. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Thursday February 11, 2021 at Torgerson’s Funeral Home in Black River Falls. There will be an open mic for sharing at 6:00 p.m. A private family graveside burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in New Berlin, WI at 3:00 PM on Friday February 12, 2021.
