Middlesex, NJ – Lorraine A. Samer, 84, passed away at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville on February 1, 2021. Born in Newark to the late Frank and Anna R. (McGovern) Samer, Lorraine has been a lifelong resident of the borough. She worked in the packaging department of Baker & Taylor in Bridgewater. She loved being with her family who lived next door. She enjoyed playing UNO with her niece and nephew, Megan and Tommy and in the evenings, she loved to watch tv with Tommy. An avid animal lover, Lorraine loved her furry animals and took care of them through many charities. She leaves behind her loving sister Carol Washington and her husband Thomas and their five children; Tommy of Middlesex, Caryn and her husband Brian of Jackson, Craig and his wife Krystle of Warren, Kevin of Toms River and Megan of Middlesex. Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 3:00pm until 5:00pm. Family and friends are invited to attend a 9:30 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex with burial to follow at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway. In lieu of flowers, donations sent in Lorraine’s name to any animal charity would be appreciated.September 18, 1936 - February 1, 202109/18/193602/01/2021

Just saw about Lorraine. My mom Glenys used to work with her at Costa Ice Cream and also visited with her when she lived in the Poconos. she was a nice lady. Rest in Peace Lorraine!
