Our beloved Forrest William Deaton, 42, of Great Falls, was taken from us unexpectedly on Monday, February 1, 2021 in a motor vehicle accident in Lincoln, MT.  His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fairfield, MT with Burial to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Fairfield. Throughout the services masks will be required.

Forrest was born on June 9, 1978 into the happy family of Doug and Arlene Adamson Deaton in Great Falls.  He grew up playing baseball, golf, and hockey, with hockey becoming the joy of his life from the age of six. When Great Falls Youth Hockey joined the Canadian League, the road trips began, and the adventures of a lifetime were started   He attended Sacajawea Elementary, North Junior High and graduated from CMR in 1997.

After graduation Forrest went to work in Great Falls for Ulmer’s Auto, where Bev, Gary and Greg were like family to him.  He took great pride in his profession, working there for 18 years.  On August 17, 2002 he married Dawn Baker in Great Falls.  Sadly, she passed on May 6, 2006 in a car accident. Forrest went on to graduate from college-MSU Northern with a degree in Education.  On July 28, 2012 he married Corrie Strozk.

While doing his student teaching in Augusta, Forrest met Denver Krone in his class.  He always said Denver was his first friend in town.  This was his introduction into this fantastic family with Lance & Lennie, Lorne and Tami, Logan and Darcy and the kids. He fell in love with ranching, riding, and chasing cows, trading his hockey skates for boots and spurs.  Along with hunting elk and deer, he loved shooting and just being in the mountains and cutting trees down for firewood.

Survivors include his parents, Doug & Jane Deaton and Lloyd & Arlene Allen; wife, Corrie Deaton; sisters, Nikki (Meridith) Hamilton and Jamie (John) Selvidge; nephews, Bryan (Teddy) Marinaccio, Cody Barnes and Cameron Barnes; nieces, Faith Christopherson, Courtney Barnes and Shelby Sheldon; great nephew, Baby Grant; aunts, Doris Snarr, Linda Mettam, Sherry Deaton and Janet Adamson; uncles, Mike Mettam and George Deaton; many cousins and extended family members.

Thanks to out to all who have shown us so much love, care and sympathy by their presence, flowers and cards.  We love you all.
