Reginald James Prawl “Jimmy” Sunrise: September 26, 1954 Sunset: February 1, 2021 Reginald “Jimmy” Prawl departed this life on February 1, 2021, at Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. He was 66 years old. He was preceded in death by his father, Hildibert Prawl, Sr.; his brothers, Hubert and James; his sister Jennifer; and his daughter TamaShika. Jimmy was born in Port Royal, Kingston, Jamaica, and came to the states in 1977. Here he lived in Louisiana, Florida, and eventually settled in East Orange, New Jersey. He joined in matrimony with Cherrie, from which they had two children; and Marva, from which they had one child. He dedicated 20 years of employment at the New Jersey Lawyers Service as a courier, where he was fondly known as “Reggie” or “Reg.” He retired in 2018. He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughters, Taleeka and Tenika; his mother, Joan; his maternal brothers, Douglas, Clifton (Janet), Melford (Saunia), Lorne (Paulette), Devon, Donovan, Broderick, and Anthony (Tannya); his maternal sister, Sandy (Yuri); his paternal brothers, Hildibert, Jr., Patrick, Ishmael, Eric, Alton, Wayne, Gavin, Andrew, Calvin, Devon, Kurt, and John; his paternal sisters, Rona, Rose, Joanne, Sheraine, Mechelle, Charma, Arlene, Dahila, and Sandra; his cousins, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
