Melody Marie Castaneda

Heavens Gates have opened for our sweet Melody Marie Castaneda. Melody was born Nov 16, 2019 at Northside Hospital in Cumming GA. Melody passed away on Feb 1, 2021 at Egleston Children's Hospital in Atlanta, GA with her loving father, Jordan Javier Castaneda, and loving mother, DeAnna Marie LaBar, by her side. Melody was a sweet, soft, gentle, fun, energetic, and silly baby girl who would light up the whole room with her smile as she would raise her hands and say, “wat is it?” Melody touched so many hearts, but the two most special memories for mom and dad are of Melody saying Da Da no matter how many times we tried to get her to say, momma, she would always say Da Da, and Mommy teaching Melody, her Sugar Plum, how to touch her mommy’s pointer finger with hers. One little touch would make Mommy’s heart melt. Melody leaves behind a loving Father, Jordan Javier Castaneda, and a loving Mother, DeAnna Marie LaBar; paternal grandparents Armando Castaneda and Juana Luz Rodriquez; maternal grandparents Stephen M. LaBar Jr. (wife, Brooke N. Padilla) and Jamie L. Faulkner (Fiancé, Ryan L. Ridenhour); Aunts: Kristina Castaneda, Olgia Castaneda, Abbie Castaneda, and BreAnna LaBar, Uncle Aaron T. LaBar (wife, Sandra Ponce), and four cousins. Melody will be forever in our hearts. Rest easy, Sugar Plum!
