Ronnie Nix, age 69, passed away on February 1, 2021, in Tulsa, Okla. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Rawhide Cowboy Church, in Gene Autry, Okla., under the direction of the family. Cremation under the direction of Griffin~Hillcrest Funeral Home. Ronnie was born on July 22, 1951, to Billy Lloyd Nix and Nadine (Glover) Nix, in Ardmore, Okla. Ronnie was a 1969 graduate of Ardmore High School. Throughout his life he worked in insurance sales. He worked for Winstar World Casino as a Floor Supervisor for twelve years. After retiring from Winstar, he went to work for Lincoln Schools as a custodian and everyone loved him especially the kids. He loved working there. After retiring from Lincoln Schools, he just enjoyed life to the fullest. He married Sherri (Knowles) Nix on September 25, 2010, in Ardmore, Okla. Ronnie and his sweet wife, Sherri, enjoyed riding on their motorcycle together. He loved spending time with his family and he especially loved the time he spent with his grandchildren. He loved looking at all the beautiful flowers his wife planted and was so proud of their beautiful yard. He was a member of The Rawhide Church in Gene Autry, Okla. He played the drums at the church and always said he loved playing those drums for Jesus. He also loved his and Sherri’s dog Rocky very much, he was their baby. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Nadine Nix, and brother, Mike Nix. Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Nix, of Ardmore, Okla., daughter, Amanda Nix, three step-children, Hollie Bryant, and Fiancé, Scotty Holybee, Christopher Bryant, and wife, Rebekah, and Johnathon Bryant, and five grandchildren, Chloie, Blake, Lynndale, Lucas, Kensley and Myles.
