Priscilla Dianne Varona Tounkara Obituary

Early morning on Monday February 1, 2021 Priscilla Dianne Varona Tounkara of Cambridge returned to Allah after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Priscilla affectionately known as Dianne to her family and close friends was a beloved sister to Alif Muhammad, Donna Varona, Denise Varona and Robert Newton, daughter of Georgiana Varona, proud mother to Shukranah Sequoia Elnoor Varona and Umar Fode Ibn Tounkara and loving grandmother of Yaminah Mikaela Elnoor Baptista Muhammad

She attended and graduated from Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School and years later went on to receive a Master's degree in child psychology from Cambridge College. Dianne lived a life devoted to laughter, she always saw the glass half full and dedicated her energy to her family. In addition, she loved african dance, drumming, and making craft projects with a creative flair.  She was a proud mother and aimed to ensure the best opportunities for her children especially her son Ibn, who was actively involved with the Special Olympics.  Dianne’s faith as a muslim, family and community were the most important aspects of her life.

Priscilla Dianne leaves a host of relatives including her many nieces and nephews,  cousins, siblings, mother, other extended family members and friends to cherish her memories.
