Charles Casey Chaves passed away February 1, 2021. He was 70 years old and is survived by three Daughters, Sharla Kaczar (husband Cory,deceased), Fiancee, Patrick Quinlan, Cassie Sanchez and husband Robert Sanchez, and Dana Weidler and husband Eric Weidler. Sister, Sylvia Boyd . Sister, Loretta Witek and husband Gary Witek. Brother, James McCabe and wife, Beth. Grandchildren, Brooklynn, Alec, Jayce and Ethan. Also, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Casey left us with abundant memories filled with laughter and challenging moments. His generous nature extended not only to family, but to many unnamed charities. Casey filled a room with a magical quality that brought fun immediately into view. Charisma and charm, as well as his handsome demeanor, never left anyone he met without impact. His parents, Charles and Sylvia (Betty) Chaves preceded him in Life Everlasting and truly gave him the best of themselves. His Dad, Charles, was wounded in WWII (Battle of the Bulge, Christmas Day), and gave Casey his sense of love of Country and Patriotic Responsibility. Casey served his country with two tours in Vietnam at a great expense that we will never know. However, tormenting the trauma of PTSD and Agent Orange ravaged his body, he always acknowledged his love of our Country and the flag for which it stands! His Mother, Betty, was a published Writer and Poet and Casey exuded the depth of life and love as well as the ability of expression she imparted. Casey loyalty to family, friends and Country was undeniable. Family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA.org).
