A recording of the service is available below It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Bilboe, beloved husband of Shelley, on Monday February 1, 2021 at Regina General Hospital with his family by his side. Dave is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Shelley; children Derek (Stefanie), Shalen (Ciaran) and Megan; adoring grandchildren Ava, Mia and Jackson; in-laws Blaine, Betsy, Murray (Bernadine), Linda (Greg) and Sandy (Joe); and many nieces and nephews. Dave was predeceased by his parents Jack and Mattie Bilboe; sisters Jacqui (Felix) and Shannon; brother Ron; and Shelley's parents George and Grace Patzwald. Dave married his high school sweetheart Shelley in 1979 and they have spent the past 47 years together building a family and a life filled with love, laughter, and happiness. He has left cherished memories with many life-long friends from times spent curling, at Rider and Grey Cup games, and hosting backyard BBQ's. Throughout his 40 year career at the co-operators, he also made many great friends who held a special place in his heart. Dave endured many health challenges and struggles on his journey, throughout which he continued to show tremendous strength, courage and a will to never give up. He was a fighter and he is our hero. A special thanks to Dr. Bonnie Richardson and the many doctors, nurses and health care staff that cared for Dave over the past 20 years. Due to Covid restrictions, a private family service will be held on Tuesday February 9, 2021, which will allow us to celebrate Dave's life on what would have been his 63rd birthday.
