JoAnn Leona Donkers, age 78, of Blooming Prairie, formerly of Faribault and Golden Valley, died on Monday, February 1, 2021, at the Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary’s Campus, Rochester. Funeral services will be held at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Father Henry L. Doyle will officiate. Interment will be at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. A recording of the service may be viewed at the end of this obituary. JoAnn Leona, the daughter of Edward and Anna (Stadler) Kath, was born on December 6, 1942 in Faribault. She was formerly employed by the Lavender Inn of Faribault and various retail stores in Golden Valley. JoAnn enjoyed cats, gardening, fishing, camping, deer hunting, horses and hunting. She is survived by her six children, Shelia Jorgenson of Owatonna, Sherry (and Jim) Kvestad of Faribault, Lisa Donkers of Faribault, Brenda Donkers (and Scott Valentyn) of Owatonna, John Donkers of Owatonna and Marsha (and Kevin) Motl of Blooming Prairie; grandchildren, Nick, Josh, Sarah, Angie, Brittany, Paige, Ashley, Jeff, Missy, Matt, Taylor, Joe, Jessica, Bridgett, Maggie and Isaiah; great grandchildren, Natalee, Haley, Atlanta, Jeramiah, Dominic, Jayd, Stella, Bostyn, Baylor, Lexi, Lilly, Oliver, Vinny, Nyle and Violet; three siblings, Jim (and Mary) Kath of Dent, Lana Cowan of Faribault, and Theresa King of Faribault; her life partner, Paul Nichols of Blooming Prairie; other relatives; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Anna; one son-in-law, Todd Jorgenson; grandson, Josh Jorgenson; and her former husband, Clem Donkers.
