Rosa Mahr (nee Hum) took her last breath in her Wickliffe home on February 1, 2021 in her 93rd year of life. Rosa was born in Ceric, Yugoslavia to the late Jakob and Katharina (nee Schott) Hum.

Rosa came to America in 1952 with her husband, John, Sr. and son, John, Jr. She started her new household in Cleveland on Ablewhite Ave. In 1956, she moved to Wickliffe where she spent the remainder of her life. Rosa took a position as a maid at the Ramada Inn in Wickliffe and within two years, had risen to the position of Executive Housekeeper. She managed a department of as many as 40 employees and was well loved and respected by all until her retirement.

Rosa was the beloved wife of 71 years to the late John Mahr, Sr.; dearest mother to John, Jr. (Ann), Frederick and George (Kim); cherished grandmother of Candice Mahr, John R. Mahr, Katharina Maynes, Heidi Mahr and loving great grandmother of Alissa and Tyler Winchell, Justus and Silas Maynes, Katharina and Madelyne Niehaus; loving aunt of Matt Hum (Karen Funke), Frank Hum, Henry Hum (Toni) and George Hum (Barbara) and great aunt of Joseph, Amanda, Kathryn and Diane Hum and Brett Lipton and great-great aunt of Harrison;

The family will receive friends at The Orlando-Donsante-Previte Funeral Home 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. (Masks Required with Social Distancing and Occupancy Limits) where a Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2021. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.
