Jo Ann "Jody" Coleman

<p>Jo Ann &ldquo;Jody&rdquo; Coleman, nee Stevenson, of Washington, Missouri passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the age of 68 years and 26 days. Jody was born January 8, 1953 in Ironton, Missouri to William and Anita Pickert Stevenson.</p> <p>Jody had worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation.</p> <p>She enjoyed bowling and working in her yard. She loved her animals, two dogs and a cat and loved to drink &ldquo;diet cherry Dr. Pepper. Most of all she loved her family, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had been a cancer survivor and was so thankful she could enjoy her family a few more years.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anita Stevenson; one son, Neil Maxwell; a granddaughter, Hollie Chasen; two brothers, Allen (Judy) Stevenson, Harry Stevenson; and one sister, Brenda Priest.</p> <p>She is survived by her two daughters, Stephanie Lemon and companion Randy McKinney of Bonne Terre, MO and Christina (David) Booker of Cook Station, MO; one sister, Mary (Donald) Turnbough of Viburnum, MO; one sister-in-law, Vickie Stevenson of Cedar Hill, MO; eight grandchildren, Megan (Jesse) Cribbs, James (Danielle) Booher, Andrew Chasen, Lindsay Chasen, Abigail Whitaker, Madison Whitaker; Luke Booker and Jacob Booker; five great-grandchildren, Bre Cribbs, Isabella French, John Cribbs, Elijah Cribbs and Mia Ann Booker; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.</p> <p>The Family received friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.</p> <p>Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Pastor Troy Merseal officiating. Special music of &quot;Holes in the floor of Heaven&quot; and &quot;I&#39;ll Fly Away&quot; was played. &quot;Amazing Grace&quot; was sung by granddaughter, Megan Cribbs. Special memories were shared by daughter, Christina, and some of the grandchildren.</p> <p>The services were Live on the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home Facebook Page.</p> <p>The Family chose cremation as the final disposition.</p> <p>The Coleman Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Jo Ann “Jody” Coleman, nee Stevenson, of Washington, Missouri passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the age of 68 years and 26 days. Jody was born January 8, 1953 in Ironton, Missouri to William and Anita Pickert Stevenson.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Pastor Troy Merseal officiating. Special music of "Holes in the floor of Heaven" and "I'll Fly Away" was played. "Amazing Grace" was sung by granddaughter, Megan Cribbs. Special memories were shared by daughter, Christina, and some of the grandchildren.

The Family chose cremation as the final disposition.
