Jerry Dean Leith, 74, Murfreesboro, TN passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at his home after a seven year courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2021 at Lamb Funeral Home with Chaplain Joel Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Turner Cemetery, Cerulean, KY.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour on Monday, February 8, 2021 at the funeral home.

A native of Roswell, South Dakota, he was born May 1, 1946, the son of the late William David Leith and the late Ruby Sorheim Leith. 

In addition to his parents, he was was preceded in death by his stepfather, Richard Thomas Leith; his brothers, James Leith, Randy Leith, and Dick Leith.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Linda Turner Leith; his son, Erik Leith, Sheffield Village, OH; his daughters, Kristen Kosakura, Orange, CA, Terra Leith, Elyria, OH, and Jennifer Dean Leith Balsbaugh, Murfreesboro, TN; his grandsons Jack Ethan Hodges, Erik Walter Leith, and Jay Dean Balsbaugh; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Jerry began a long career in telecommunications in 1964 in the U.S. Army. He served for 9 years in Vietnam, Germany and Ethiopia. Upon leaving the Army, Jerry worked as a contractor in Ethiopia, Arizona, NASA in Huntsville, Alabama and AEDC in Tullahoma, TN. He retired from Black Box Network Services in Murfreesboro.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Alive Hospice, who helped care for Jerry during his final days. Donations can be sent to 1629 Williams Drive, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.
