Robert “Bob” Joseph Keating, 68, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away February 3, 2021. Bob was born March 15, 1952 in Kenosha, WI to the late Joseph and Nina (Jalensky) Keating. Bob moved to Port St Lucie from Kenosha, WI, with his parents in 1965. After graduating with a business degree from Florida Atlantic University he pursued a career in real estate and later as a financial planner for about 35 years before retiring. Bob was an avid boater and fisherman who felt at home in the Bahamas. He was also a sports enthusiast, with a passion for golf and football. His love of football began when he played in high school for Dan McCarty High School in Ft. Pierce.  Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Nina (Jalensky) Keating; brother, Edward Keating. Survivors include his loving and dedicated wife of 31 years, Frances Keating; sister Patricia and brother-in-law, Brion McDermott; nephews Scott and Ryan McDermott; brother & sister-in-law Thomas & Joanne Di Giacomo.  Bob’s generosity and gentle spirit touched many people. He will be greatly missed.  A celebration of Bob’s life will take place Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Yates Funeral Home Home & Cremation Services, 526 SW Port St. Lucie Blvd. The family will receive friends beginning at 2PM until the service time of 3:30PM.  For those who wish, donations may be made in Bob’s memory to the Salvation Army, PO Box 1058 Fort Pierce, FL 34954-1058.
