She was born on May 12, 1939, in Ypsilanti, Michigan to Gilbert Shinn and Volina (Eusay) Shinn. Betty married the love of her life, Vincent L. Riggs, on June 10, 1970 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She will be remembered as a hardworking, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Betty enjoyed crocheting, knitting, crafting, word search puzzles and watching classic game shows. She spent years dedicating time to community service for different organizations and was loved by everyone. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family. Betty will be deeply missed by all who knew her.</p> <p> </p> <p>Her Family… Betty will be missed by her daughter, Brenda (Robert) Roberts; brother, Thomas (Patricia) Shinn; grandchildren, Evelyn McConnell, David (Christina) Roberts, Robin Roberts, James Roberts, Kimberly Roberts; great grandchildren, Meadow McConnell, Hailey Roberts, Carly Roberts, Camryn Bradley, great great grandson, Angelo McConnell.
