Joe Michael Johnson III of Cove, Arkansas passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 from injuries suffered in car accident. Joe was born on Wednesday, June 9, 1971 to Joe Michael Jr. and Faith Hunter Johnson in DeQueen, Arknasas. Mike was employed by Tyson Foods at their Grannis facility. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing and his large collection of animals. He was a hard worker who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Joe M. Johnson Jr., maternal grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Harold C. Hunter of Lockesburg, Arkansas, his paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Joe M. Johnson, Sr. of DeQueen; uncles, Dean Johnson of DeQueen, Jackie Pike of Dallas, Texas, Randy Hunter, Paul Hunter and Harold C. Hunter of Lockesburg, one aunt: Mary Koelzer of DeQueen. Joe is survived by his fiance, Angela Sanders of Cove, Arkansas and one sister, Hope Cheatham (Jerry) of DeQueen, AR, uncles: Timothy Hunter of Ft. Smith, Lonnie (Kathy) Johnson of DeQueen, aunts: Nell (Bill) Cummings of Marshall, Wisconsin, Regina "KK" Johnson and Peggy Bramlett of DeQueen. He is further survived by two special friends: Christine Oglesby and Linda Hodges as well as numerous other friends and relatives. A memorial service will be held at 10:30AM, Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the First Pentecostal Church of God in DeQueen, Arkansas with Pastor Randy Munter officiating followed by a luncheon at the church activity center. Interment of ashes will take place later in a private service. A memorial service will be held Monday, April 12, 2015 at the Pleasant Grove Church of the Nazarene in Cove with Charles Capps officiating with a fellowship following the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Pentecostal Church of God, P.O. Box 883, DeQueen, Arkansas 71832 or the Sevier County Adult Activity Center of DeQueen.
