Patricia Rollins Obituary

On Monday, January 25, 2021, Patricia Rollins, loving and devoted wife, mother to two blessed daughters and grandmother to six wonderful grandchildren, passed away at the age of 72.

Pat was born on December 31, 1948 in Oxnard, CA but lived most of her life in Oklahoma.  She established an amazing life filled with love and laughter by those she encountered.  On June 30, 1973 she married the love of her life and hero, James Max Rollins. She worked for over 40 years in the local area in the medical profession as a medical assistant.  She was also the owner/operator of Kids Delight Daycare for over 10 years.

She is preceded in death by her mother Cleo Eadus, father William Bohm, step father Bill Eadus, father-in-law and mother-in-law Max and Ruth Rollins, nephew Jimmy Don Gardner, brother-in-law Jim Gardner; and sister-in-law Charlene Smith.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years James Rollins of Shawnee, OK; her two daughters, Janelle and Seth Rann, Sarah and Ben Lasher, both of Magnolia, DE.  Her sister Linda Potts of Tulsa, OK, her brother Grover Smith of Tecumseh, OK, her sister-in-law Janis Gardner of Edmond, OK, her nephews Jeff Potts and Jeff Gardner, great nephew Ben Gardner, her nieces Alicia Russell and Holly Ramsey and her much loved and adored six grandchildren: Anna Lasher (16), Zoe Lasher (15), Olivia Lasher (13), Liam Rann (11), Cora Rann (8), and Sean Rann (6).

She will be missed by so many as no one was prepared to lose such a beautiful, pure soul and feisty spirit.  She is and always will be the epitome of what a mom and grandma (Nanny to her grandbabies) should be. Pat loved to sew!  She didn’t always finish her projects but her intentions were there, and over the years this became an inside joke amongst our family.  But the projects she did finish, from wedding dresses, Christmas stockings and tooth fairy pillows, are true works of art and will be cherished forever.  She also enjoyed cooking and baking, with her philosophy being “there’s no such thing as too much butter”.  Our hearts are broken and our world dimmer.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at a future date.

Until we hug her again, we find comfort in these words, “Sorrow is looking back.  Worry is looking around.  Faith is looking up.”

To an amazing wife, mother, sister, grandmother, daughter, aunt and friend: “Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy Name.  Thy kingdom come.  Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those that trespass against us.  And deliver us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever.  Amen”.
