Robert N. Sullivan of Berkeley Heights, NJ passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 at the age of 82. The visitation will be held at Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial, 646 Springfield Ave., Berkeley Heights, NJ on Thursday, Jan. 28th, from 4-8 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Church, 111 South St., New Providence, NJ on Friday, Jan. 29th, at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains, NJ. He had resided in North Plainfield before moving to Berkeley Heights, NJ 74 years ago. Robert graduated from Jonathan Dayton Regional High School in Springfield, NJ. He then received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Villanova University in 1961 and was a 1964 graduate of Rutgers University School of Law. He was a law secretary for the Hon. John E. Burger, NJ Superior Court, Union County Courthouse in Elizabeth, NJ from 1965-1966. Bob had also been an attorney for Nole & Reidy, where he was engaged in defense work for Continental Insurance Companies in Newark, NJ. He had a successful 54-year career as an attorney and had a successful law practice of his own in Berkeley Heights for many of those years. Bob was a member of both the American and New Jersey State Bar Associations, a member of the Phi Delta Phi International legal fraternity and the Knights of Columbus. He was also an avid fan of the NY Giants and Villanova basketball. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Mary Ann (nee Komor) of Berkeley Hts. and his loving sons, Kevin N. and Robert B. Sullivan, both of Berkeley Hts. Robert was pre-deceased by his parents, his cherished son, Michael P. Sullivan and his dear sister, Bernice Sullivan.
