Joan D. Merkle, 89, of Weeki Wachee passed away on January 27, 2021, under the loving care of her family and hospice. She was born in Elmira, New York and moved to this area in 1998, from Tampa, Florida. Joan enjoyed shopping and crafting. She was a great mother, who dedicated her life to raising and caring for her children and family. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Merkle in September of 2005, she leaves to cherish her memory her daughters: Lynda Sting of Columbia Falls, MT; Deborah Merkle of Weeki Wachee, FL; Nannice Merkle and her husband, Ronnie Phillips of Spring Hill, FL; her granddaughter: Cheyenne Phillips.
