Ruthie Mae Williams, 80, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 10:05 AM Monday, June 26, 2017 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, June 30, 2017 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, MO. Rev. Lindell Robbins will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of services Friday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home. Ruthie was born March 17, 1937, in Forrest City, Arkansas to Curtis Booker T. Thomas and M.E. Jones. She was married to Buster Williams in Forrest City, Arkansas. He preceded her in death. Survivors include eight children, Louretha Jackson of Hannibal, MO, Diane Deere of Hannibal, MO, Granette Johnson of Hannibal, MO, Tolise Guyton (Steve) of Forrest City, Arkansas, Sybil James of Olive Branch, Mississippi, James Thomas (Rose Ann) of Little Rock, Arkansas, William Jones of Memphis, Tennessee, and Michael Mosby of Atlanta, GA; 23 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 12 great great grandchildren. Ruthie Mae was preceded in death by her parents. Ruthie was a homemaker. She enjoyed living and growing up in Forrest City, Arkansas. Ruthie was a classy lady, always a kind and caring spirit, she loved and cherished her family. She was a strong and independent woman who always provided for her family. Talented in the kitchen, Ruthie made the best chicken and dumplings and butter rolls. She was also known for her Italian spaghetti. Whenever her grandchildren would bring her good news she would always respond with a "mmhmm". Ruthie will be deeply missed by all of those who knew and loved her. Ruthie was a Baptist by Faith.
