Stephen Carl Timmons Obituary

Stephen Carl Timmons, 65, died Friday January 22nd, 2021 from injuries sustained in a one vehicle accident in Broken Bow, Oklahoma

Stephen was born in Enid, Oklahoma, January 3rd 1956. His youth was spent on journeys and adventures with his father in the northwest part of the county. He later settled in Broken Bow, Oklahoma in 1984 where he worked for the US Army Corp of Engineers. He later went on to marry the love of his life Mindy Timmons on October 9th, 1993, also from Broken Bow.

Stephen enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping and often spoke of how much he appreciated the scenery he was given in the Broken Bow area. If Stephen wasn’t tinkering in his shop on a project, you would find him at his oasis at Mt. Herman taking care of his ‘home away from home’.

To those who were lucky enough to enjoy Stephen’s company, you would know he was witty as well as vocal in his feelings on any topic. His laughter was often and contagious. Stephen was always available for an uplifting get-together, as well as an ear to voice concern to.

Stephen is survived by his wife Mindy Timmons, Broken Bow, Oklahoma, his mother Mary Ann Campbell of Hesperia, California, his two sons, Eric Moore and his wife Cassie Moore from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Stephen ‘Stevie” Timmons and his fiancée Lindsey Benge from Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his brothers, Dennis Kandel from Newport News, VA, Albert Timmons from San Antonio, TX, Vincent Darby from Muskogee, OK, Tom Monroe from Bonney Lake, WA, Tim Monroe from Florence, KY, Robert Monroe from Bellingham, WA and Norm Monroe from Broken Bow, OK, and his aunt and uncle Stanley and Oralia Timmons from Bennington, OK.

Stephen is preceded in death by his son Gregory T. Timmons, Broken Bow, OK, father, Odis “Bill” Timmons, from Maysville, Oklahoma, sister, Delores LaFrombise of Euclid, Oklahoma and mother and father in-law Norman and Nancy Monroe of Idabel, Oklahoma.

Friends and family have asked for donations to be sent to the American Cancer Society in lieu of gifts or flowers.
