Jerry Bischum Ledet, Sr., our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away on January 21, 2021 at home with his family. Jerry was born in New Orleans, LA on December 11, 1948 to Reverend Joseph Bernard Ledet and Cora Fisher Ledet. He was educated in the Orleans Parish School System, attending George Washington Carver Senior High. After high school he served in the U S Navy. During his lifetime, Jerry overcame many obstacles, becoming a Master Printer, Instructor, Court Advocate, and Vice President of a marketing firm. Even with these accomplishments, the one he and his family were most proud of was his spiritual transformation. Jerry rededicated his life to Jehovah, and was baptized on October 11, 2003. He began his journey as a ministerial servant, giving talks and serving as a role model for the younger generation of believers. Jerry shared that of all the things he would want to be remembered for, first and foremost is his love for Jehovah. He was a loyal member of the Kriewald congregation, and faithfully served Jehovah until the end. Jerry leaves a legacy of faith, service, and stewardship. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Harlene, children Nadine, Auhora, Luciana, Natasha, Irvin, stepchildren Victor, Kelly, Stacey, Michelle, Lavance, Johnny, Anthony and Sean, daughter-in-law Kathryn, and son-in-law Nathaniel. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, devoted siblings, Sarita, Walter, and Joseph Ledet, sister-in-law Lavern, and a host of family and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Cora, brothers Eldridge and Zacharias, sister Janina, and sons Dairon and Jerry Jr.
