Lois Jean Aynes, Checotah resident, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 in Henryetta, OK at the age of 87. She was born on Friday, April 7, 1933 to Arthur and Lucinda Welch Pruitt in Tahlequah, OK. In 1951, Jean graduated from Harrah High School. On Monday, October 8, 1951, she married the love of her life, Kenneth G. Aynes at the First Baptist Church in Jones, OK spending almost 65 years together. They lived in many places over the years, but made their home in Harrah, OK. She loved to go to garage sales. Jean did not care to travel; she was very family oriented. She loved to go to Bingo and was a member of the C.B. Club. Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church in Harrah, OK. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Kenneth G. Aynes in 2016. She is lovingly survived by her son, Ken Gene Aynes of Harrah, OK; her grandchildren, Erik Kingston of Wichita Falls, TX, Devin Aynes of Harrah, OK, and Miranda Aynes of Chickasha, OK. Jean is also survived by four nieces, Nancy of Jones, OK, Deborah Schneider of Checotah, OK, Pam Texas, Patty of Texas; one nephew, Jimmy Jones of Jones, OK, as well as other extended family and a lifetime of friends.
