John E. “Jack” Kelly, 76 of Enfield, beloved husband of Diane (Desrosiers) Kelly, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Born in Holyoke, MA in 1944, he was the son of the late John T. and Norma (Laware) Kelly and grew up in Holyoke, MA before moving to Enfield in 1978. John worked for Wonder Bread Hostess Cakes for 40 years in a variety of different roles until his retirement in 2006. He most recently served on the Board of Directors for the Enfield Community Federal Credit Union until the time of his passing. Besides his devoted wife of 55 years, Diane, he leaves his 2 loving daughters, Lisa Kelly Thompson and Tammy Rock and her husband Chris, all of Enfield: 4 cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Daniel and Natalie Rock and Brynn Thompson; 3 sisters and their husbands, Lynda and David Pellissier of Ocoee FL, Denise and Roger Scheurer of Lee MA and Laura and David Moriarty of South Hadley MA; his sister in law Connie Bouffard, brothers in law and their wives Bob and Darlene Desrosiers, Don and Marybeth Desrosiers; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. John was predeceased by his in laws Ray and Esther Desrosiers and his brother in law David Desrosiers. John was a classic car enthusiast and spent his summers going to cars shows with his 1967 Ford XL and winning many awards with that car that brought him years of enjoyment. He was above all an avid fisherman, spending many of his days after retirement visiting his cousins in New Hampshire for fishing trips to Tewskbury Pond. John looked forward every year to his family reunion where he was able to visit with his sisters, their families and all of the Laware cousins. He loved you all so much. He was most proud of his grandchildren, taking his grandsons out for their first fishing trip and his many lunch dates with his granddaughters and countless other memories they have their grandfather. John volunteered his time at the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where he was recognized for his many years of service.
