It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Julia Jackson.
Native to the south, she and her husband traveled north to create better opportunities for their family. Julia was a faithful member of Third Baptist Church, and attended services regularly, both in-person and virtually. In her meek, mild-mannered way, she was an engaging Sunday School teacher for many years.
Julia was an avid cook, seamstress, quilter, and crochet artist, and loved spending time with family and friends. She and her mother often made quilts together, hand-stitching the layers while chit-chatting in the kitchen over coffee and cinnamon rolls.
Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren would often engage her with tons of questions. In turn, she would respond kindly with words of wisdom and insight to guide their way.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, her community of loved ones are unable to celebrate her life in person but have provided an opportunity to live stream her intimate service with immediate family.
