Anthony E. Dauphin, 90 years old, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 22, 2021. Born in St. Johnsbury, VT of the late Edward and Florida Dauphin. Upon graduating from Newington High School, he honorably served his country in the US Army stationed in Germany. After serving in the Army, he returned to his hometown of Newington, CT, where he joined his father’s business E.J Dauphin & Sons along with his brothers. At his father’s retirement he continued the family business as Dauphin Builders, eventually relocating to Somers, CT.

He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Eva Charette Dauphin, and his daughter, Janie Dauphin LaCombe. He leaves his daughter and son in law, Corlene Dauphin Roberts and Louis from Feeding Hills, MA, his son and daughter in law, Gary and Lori Dauphin from Somers, CT, his daughter, Audrey Dauphin from Enfield, CT and his son, Anthony Dauphin Jr from Somers, CT. He also leaves eight grandchildren, Christy Zielinski, Kelsey Roberts, Corey Roberts, Trent Dauphin, Talia Dauphin, Derek Jasiulevicius, Casey LaCombe, Colin LaCombe. Along with his grand children he leaves three great grandchildren, Daven Suchenicz, Kellen and Adrian Zielinski. Tony was predeceased by five brothers, Wilfred, Joseph, Albert, Gerard and Edward and his sister, Theresa. He also leaves behind three sisters, Irene, Loucille and Pauline, and many nieces and nephews.

Tony was a very dedicated husband and father. He always put his family first. He enjoyed spending time with his family often taking them on adventurous outings. Tony was a kind and generous man always willing to lend a helping hand. It was common for Tony to leave church every morning and stop at the local coffee shop to spend time with his buddies. He had the most beautiful smile and a great attitude about life. Tony and Eva enjoyed spending the winters in Florida with close friends. Some of Tony’s passions were working in his yard and garden and tinkering in his shop. Tony spent the last four years of his life at Norah’s Place where he received loving care from Norah and her staff.

Relatives and friends may join the family for calling hours from 9:00-10:00 am on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at St. Bernard Church, 426 Hazard Ave., Enfield, CT 06082. A Mass will begin at the church at 10:00 am. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Tony's memory may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607 or to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
