James R. Owen, Jr. of Dry Fork, Virginia, passed away January 23, 2021, at the age of 82 while a resident at Stratford Rehabilitation Center, Danville, Virginia. He was born on September 21, 1938, in Danville to the late Rivers E. Meeks Owen and the late James R. Owen, Sr. He was married to the late Jane Allgood Owen. Mr. Owen proudly served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Korea, and later worked for the Federal Government as a Postal Supervisor. Mr. Owen is survived by his son Dan Owen (Michelle) of Danville, a daughter Susan Maguire of Tennessee, a brother Randy Owen, and two sisters Mary Ann Ludwick, and Robin Owen. A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Own will be held at a later date.Obituary
