Patricia Diane Jamison

Patricia Diane Jamison, 66, of Athens, TX, passed away on January 21, 2021. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 26 at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Athens under the direction of Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home. Patricia was born on March 2, 1954 in Lawrence, KS. After graduating high school, she devoted her life to raising and caring for her three children. Nothing was more important to her than her family, and that included her pets. She was a passionate supporter of animal rescues and personally rescued over 40 cats and dogs in her lifetime. In her spare time, Patricia enjoyed drawing, embroidery and creating beaded ornaments. She also published a book of poetry, Perceptions in Time, in 2013. She was a talented artist and a beautiful person, inside and out. Patricia is survived by her children, Nicole (Keith) Brockington and Timothy Jamison; her sisters, Susan (David) Rader, Christine Strawn, and Sarah (Mike) Weiler; her niece Hayley (Tennyson) Boothe; and her nephew Benjamin Weiler. She was predeceased by her son, Robert Jamison; her husband, Jackie Gates; and her parents, Clarence Strawn and Pauline Jones.
