DELIGIO, Nicholas G., 92, of Hudson, Florida, died Thursday, January 21, 2021 at AdventHealth in Tampa, Florida.
He was born June 5, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York and came to the area 41 years ago from Eatontown, New Jersey. He was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War and the owner of Nicholas G. DeLigio Custom Upholstery in Long Branch, New Jersey. He was a parishioner of St.Theresa Catholic Church where he was an Usher, and a member of the Legion of Mary and the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter #67.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth "Lisa" DeLigio. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence & Debra DeLigio, Donald & Cindy DeLigio, all of Spring Hill, Florida, and Robert & Barbara DeLigio of Orlando, Florida and Jeffrey DeLigio of Tampa, Florida; brothers and sister-in-law, Armond F. & Pat DeLigio of Sarasota, Florida and Lucian DeLigio of Franklin Square, New York; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30am, Saturday, February 6, 2021 at St. Theresa Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Research.
