Dorothy "Dot" Jean Nichols
It is with great sadness, we announce that Dorothy Jean Nichols passed away on January 21 with loved ones at her side. Dorothy was a very caring individual who always smiled. Life was a much better place with her in it. She will be missed by all. On April 14, 1978. Dorothy married Larry, son of Ed and Irene Nichols. She is survived by Larry, children Dave and Angela, her mother Anna, sisters Mary Anne and Shirley and brother Michael. Dorothy was born on May 23, 1956 in Kerrobert Saskatchewan to Anna and George Kruesel. She moved to Turner Valley in 1976 seeking employment at the Turner Valley Hospital as a Lab and X-ray technician. When the Turner Valley Hospital closed, she worked at the Lab in the Black Diamond Doctor’s Office. When that private Lab closed, she worked at Oilfields General Hospital. Dorothy made many great friends and memories along the way. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation as an expression of sympathy.
