Speck Funeral Home - Betty Choate Obituary

Funeral Services for Mrs. Betty John Davis Choate, age 84, of Livingston will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2021 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.  Pastor Randy Hill will officiate.  Burial to follow in the Concord Cemetery.  The family will welcome friends at Speck Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6 until 8 p.m.

Mrs. Betty passed from this life on Thursday, January 21, 2021 from her home.  She was born in Livingston Tennessee on November 22, 1936 to the late John and Mamie Wise Davis.  Betty enjoyed working and seeing people at the Hilham Convenience Center, and was an avid seamstress.  She also loved gardening, raising flowers, loved country and bluegrass music, and made wonderful works of art with her needle and thread.

Betty leaves behind her daughter, Kelly Tripp and husband Michael of Hilham, TN; grandchildren, Riannan Tripp, and Dylan Tripp; great-grandchildren, Dorian Lawson, and Atticus Real; sister, Faye Thornton of Union, OH; nieces and nephews, Sherri Rex, Mark Rickert, Jennifer Walker, Julie Peacock, Lisa Reels, and Leona Bell.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her grandson, Trampus Lawson; brothers, Billy Don Davis, Melvin Edward Davis, and Mitchell Dulworth; niece, Greta Davis; nephew, Michael Rickert.

Pallbearers to serve are Michael Tripp, Doug Neatherly, Danny Ford, Doug Noone, Vernon Dockins, and Richie Emonds.
