Edcil “Ed” James Bright, 89, of La Grande, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at a local care facility. A private service will be held at a later time. Ed was born on July, 2, 1931 in Wallowa, Oregon to James Elmer and Jewell (McReynolds) Bright. He resided in Wallowa, OR, Summerville, OR, and La Grande, OR. He married Dorrene Joan Miller on Dec 28, 1955 in Dayton, Washington. He served our country while in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957 Ed worked on a ranch in Summerville, OR and was employed by Grain Growers and RD Mac. He was a member of Eagles Lodge. He enjoyed hunting and outdoor activities with his family. Ed is survived by his wife, Dorrene Joan Bright of La Grande, OR; son, James (Danette) Bright of La Grande, OR; step-children, Dale Campbell (Ellen) of La Grande, OR, Larry Campbell (Karen) of Cove, OR, Judy Nordang (Greg) of Twisp, WA and Ronald Campbell (Rita) of Pendleton, OR; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren that he loved with all his heart.
