Kathryn M. Moody

Kathryn Marie (Tarantino) Moody passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Inspira Medical Center. She was 63 and a resident of Mantua, NJ and formerly of Lawndale. Kathy was born on August 25, 1957 in Philadelphia to the late Francis and late Kathleen (Traum) Tarantino. She Graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School in 1975 and later went on to work at Braceland Brothers where she met her former husband, Michael Moody Sr. Kathy always had her heart in the right place and was so very welcoming of all of her children’s friends. She enjoyed spending time with her dog Simba, spending time at the Wildwood Shore and vacationing in Sebastian, Florida. Kathy is survived by her devoted children Lisa Hernandez (Israel), Katie Tercha, Michael Moody, Jr. (Erin) and her loving grandchildren Brooklyn Hernandez, Ava Hernandez, Thomas Tercha, Joseph Tercha, Payton Moody, Alexa Moody and Michael Moody. She is also survived by her siblings Francis Tarantino (Debbie), Mary Ellen DePrince (Anthony), Michael Tarantino (Debbie), Stephen Tarantino (Karen); her many nieces and nephews, and her dearest companion, Mark Getchell. Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing, Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM in Saint William Church. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM and interment will be private. A link to a livestream of her Funeral Mass is available in the events section below. Kathy sat behind me in homeroom when we attended CD. She was always pleasant a friendly. We had a lot of good laughs together. I was so sorry to hear that she'd passed away. God bless her and may she rest in peace. Sincerely, Annmarie Tait

Kathy was our sitter, for our 3 boys until they started school. Our deepest condolences, may she rest in peace and may her memories be a blessing. We donated to Today is a Good Day in her memory.. Teri and Paul Ferrante.
