Edward James Scull, 81, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at his home. A graveside service will be held Sunday at 3 PM in Pinewood Memorial Park. Formerly of Jersey City, NJ and Pompano Beach, FL, Ed moved to Pitt County in 1980. He was an active, faithful member of First Presbyterian Church in Greenville and served for many years as a volunteer fireman with Staton House Fire Department in Greenville and was Chaplain to Staton House and Winterville Fire Departments. Since his retirement in 2002 from Nestle USA Co., he continued to enjoy church and community service, family, travel and fishing. Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Charles and Sophie Scull. He is survived by his: wife of 51 years, Carol; son and daughter-in-law, David and Karen Scull; grandson, Michael Scull; and many cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 1400 S Elm St, Greenville, NC 27858.
