Trinh Nguyen, 64, of Houston, Texas passed away at home on January 20, 2021. Born in Saigon, Vietnam, Trinh was the middle child for his parents, Jean Paul Kim Ma and Ba Thi Nguyen. Trinh, together with his mother, sister (Thanh Luu), and daughter (Thi Yuan) immigrated to the United States in 1984. They made a home in Houston where he pursued his education, graduating with a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Houston and later working in various technology related job roles. He retired early a few years ago as an IT Manager at a local chemical plant. While working at the City of Houston, he found his second chance at love with Tamie Hoang. He found renewed happiness together with Tamie and Katherine, whom he proudly helped raised. Trinh and Tamie enjoyed life to the fullest despite their varying interests. Together, they loved trying different foods, traveling and spending time with family. Trinh was a homebody who loved history, politics and music. There was not one news story that escaped him. Trinh is survived by his mom, Ba, wife, Tamie, step-daughter, Katherine, daughter, Thi, son-in-law Chris, cherished grandkids, Elise and Kage, older brother Thuy, younger sister Thanh, nieces and nephews, My-Linh, Duc-Vien and My-Loan, and most beloved pets, Camelia, Chloe and Casper. We greatly appreciate and are touched by the outpouring of condolences and fond memories shared by family and friends during this difficult time.
