Ruby V . Freeman quietly and peacefully slipped away to be with the Lord on Friday, January 22, 2021 @12:16 AM, in Maryview Hospital in Portsmouth, VA. Ruby was born in Quantico, Maryland, after the passing of her Mother a very young age she was reared and raised by her Aunt Alice Johnson in Salisbury, Maryland. She attended I. C. Norcom High School, Portsmouth, Virginia and retired from Virga’s Pizza Crust. Ruby was a “Gem” to everyone that knew her, she was always so loving, understanding and would listen and encourage everyone. She left a warm impression on everyone that she encountered. She had a smile that would light up the world! Ruby was loved and will be missed by many family and friends. Ruby is predeceased by her husband William “Bill” Freeman; her parents James and Virginia Butler; Step Mother Dorothy Butler; two Brothers; Richard and Leonard Butler; four Sisters; Voida Lee; Alice Nutter; Alberta Mackey, Gwen Clanton. Ruby leaves to cherish fond memories of her, Three Daughters; Angelite “Angel” Watson, Sherrie Freeman, Tammy Williams (Darryl) and One Son, William “Snoop” Freeman Jr. (Ebony), Six; Grandchildren; Bryan K. Watson (Dekisha); Shae Brinkley; Shy Brinkley; Johnnie Freeman; Mikeous Freeman; Rufus Hurdle, Jr. and Eight Great Grandchildren; One Brother in law Melvin Freeman; Seven Sister in laws Estelle Brown (Paul); Margaret Rawls; Linell Orton (Willie); Vernetta Coone; Angela Carpenter (Roland); Freida Bashay and Paula Taylor. She also leaves a host of nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews, cousins and many friends. She also leaves to cherish fond memories her dearest friends Mildred Harrison; Essie Bennett, Gracie King and Gladys Logan.
