Shannon Gayle Brown Obituary

Shannon G. Brown, 63-year-old longtime Bartlesville resident, passed away early Thursday, January 21, 2021 in Bartlesville. She was born on April 17, 1957 in Monahans, Texas to Elmer Lloyd Brown and Maryann Patricia (Saunders) Brown. Shannon moved to Bartlesville when she was 20 years old, she worked for Walmart for 23 years, Shannon loved children and also worked for a time at a day care center. She had participated in the Special Olympics many times, doing the softball throw, bowling, swimming, and the buddy walk. Shannon had her own Cubs and OSU Cowboys bowling balls. She was a huge Boston Red Sox fan, especially of “Big Poppy”. She loved to go on cruises, travel, do crafts, and crossword puzzles. Family was everything to Shannon and she never passed up the chance to someone a hug. Preceding her in death includes, her parents, brother William Brown, grandparents, Bert and Debbie Brown, and Nettie V. Saunders. The family includes: her sister, Rene Patterson and husband Johnny of Collinsville, brother, Kevin Brown, sister, Kim Brown both of Claremore; nieces and nephews, Shawn and Cheyenne Patterson of Belize, Jenn and Matt Miller of Jenks, Jamie and Amanda Patterson of Collinsville, Ben Kinion of Claremore, Angel Brown of the Philippines, Matt Brown of Claremore, great-nieces and nephews, Jax and Mackie Miller, Cash Patterson, Gracie, Weston, and Taylor Neveu. The family would also like to give a special thanks to Premier Care and especially, Rachel and Kirsten, for the wonderful care and love you gave Shannon. The graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hogan Cemetery near Locust Grove. Friends may give to the Special Olympics.
