James E. Cowhick Obituary

James E. Cowhick, 75, of Sullivan, MO, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Hospital – Sullivan. James Edward Cowhick was born in Kansas City, MO, March 2, 1945, to Charles and Helen (Alexander) Cowhick. He grew up and attended school in the Kansas City area and went to work at a young age. Later in life, James met Carol Bach, and they were united in marriage on September 3, 1965. To this union three children were born: Edward, Robert and Jaime. Together, they moved to Sullivan to raise their family. James went to work for Ramsey Corp and was employed with them for over 30 years before retiring in 2000. He loved to be outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. James will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by many. James is survived by his wife, Carol, of Sullivan; three sons: Edward Cowhick of Sullivan, Robert Cowhick of Cuba, and Jaime Cowhick and wife, Shawna, of IL; six grandchildren: Tessa Cowhick of Sullivan, Tracy, Brandon and Shawn Cowhick, all of Saint Louis, and Zoie and Zack Cowhick, both of IL; two great-grandchildren, Jersey and Bayley Mars; three brothers: Charles, David and Floyd, all of Kansas City; two sisters, Darlene of Kansas City, MO, and Rosalie Gibson of Kansas City, KS; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Miah Love; his parents, Charles and Helen Cowhick; and one brother, Kenny Cowhick. Cremation arrangements have taken place. No services are planned at this time.
