<p><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Ron John Dryden was born on September 3, 1958 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to George and Mary Nooitgedagt.&nbsp; He went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 21, 2021 in Beckley, West Virginia at the age of 62.</strong></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Ron is preceded in death by his father George and his brother Henry Nooitgedagt.&nbsp; He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Sarah Lynn (Blair) Dryden; children Makaylie Dryden, Craig Dryden, Dustin Dryden, Adam Dryden, Curtis Dryden, and Michelle Mitchel; grandson Damien Dryden; mother Mary Zijlstra-Nooitgedagt; brothers George and William Nooitgedagt; sister Irene Sitko; and many extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.</strong></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Ron enjoyed camping, playing hockey, working in his yard, and most importantly spending time with his dogs and his daughter Makaylie.</strong></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Ron will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.&nbsp; Words of comfort may be offered to the family at www.meltonmortuary.com</strong></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;"><strong>Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center have been entrusted with burial arrangements and are honored to serve the family.</strong></span></span></p>

Obituary

Ron John Dryden was born on September 3, 1958 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to George and Mary Nooitgedagt.  He went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 21, 2021 in Beckley, West Virginia at the age of 62.

Ron is preceded in death by his father George and his brother Henry Nooitgedagt.  He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Sarah Lynn (Blair) Dryden; children Makaylie Dryden, Craig Dryden, Dustin Dryden, Adam Dryden, Curtis Dryden, and Michelle Mitchel; grandson Damien Dryden; mother Mary Zijlstra-Nooitgedagt; brothers George and William Nooitgedagt; sister Irene Sitko; and many extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
