Henry J. Lynch, of Manalapan, formerly of Jersey City, passed away at the Raritan Bay Medical Center on January 21, 2021. He was 93.
Born in Jersey City, Henry was a graduate of Dickinson High School. He proudly served his country in Germany as an MP during World War II, escorting prisoners to the Nuremberg Trials. Henry worked for Western Electric for more than 35 years before retiring.
Husband of the late Margaret (née Shaughnessy). Father of Thomas (HCSO) and his wife Zaiea, Ellen (ret. JCPD) and her husband Pete Hutto and Henry Lynch. Grandfather of Ryan, Kellyanne and Sean.
Visitation will be at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 625 Pavonia Ave., Jersey City on Tuesday, January 26th from 8:30 – 11 AM. Due to CDC Guidelines, visitors are kindly asked to wear a face covering and practice social distancing. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Jersey City. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
