Elizabeth B. “Betty” (Michonski) Shaw, 73, died on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Malkin E. Shaw to whom she was married for 55 years. Services for Mrs. Shaw are private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on November 10, 1947 in Stafford Springs, CT, she was the daughter of the late Bernard W. and Moreta (DeBorde) Michonski. Betty was a homemaker. Mrs. Shaw was a member of the White Rose Polka Dancers for five years. She enjoyed bowling for many years and was a previous member of York County Woman’s Bowling Association. Betty loved crafting, stain glass, flowers and gardening. Along with her husband, Malkin, Betty leaves two sons, Alan Shaw and his wife, Heather of Hanover and Jonathan Shaw and his wife, Catalina of Raleigh; daughter, Bernice Shaw and her companion, Martin Rohrbach of Columbia; granddaughter, Emma Sophia Shaw; two brothers, James Michonski and Bernard Michonski; and two sisters, Judy Jensen and Sherry Cordova and her husband, John.
