Max Reginald Bennett Mr. Max Reginald Bennett age 78 of Toccoa passed away Friday January 22, 2021 at Stephens County Hospital. A son of the late Clyde and Agnes Adams Bennett, he was born July 13, 1942 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Coats and Clark with forty five years of service. He was a member of Carnes Creek Baptist Church and a former member of Toccoa Jaycees. He is preceded in death by a brother David Bennett and a sister Barbara Williams. Survivors include his wife Judy Howard Bennett of the home, sons and daughters-in-law Bryon and Susan Bennett of Toccoa and Corey and Allie Bennett of Toccoa, grandchildren Paisley, Cason, Olivia and sister and brother-in-law Jean and Douglas Wilbanks of Toccoa. Funeral services will be held Monday January 25, 2021 at 2 P.M. at the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Jay Mosser and the Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating. The family will be at the home and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday from 6 P.M. til 8 P.M and noon until service time on Monday. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Chad Keener, Tim Wilbanks, Dylan Wilbanks, Dustin Wilbanks, Chris Stephens and Randy Westmoreland. Interment will follow in Carnes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Due to the health and well-being of our community, social distancing must be observed. Masks are encouraged.
