<p>MARY SHIELDS, was born December 2, 1942 to the late Author and Eloise Terry in Baltimore, Maryland. She entered into eternity on Thursday January 21, 2021 at home surrounded by her family.</p> <p>Mary was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. Mary married the late Wilbur Shields. In 1994 while working at Genesis Healthcare she was awarded a certificate for outstanding service.&nbsp;</p> <p>Mary was loved and adored by her children and grandchildren. She loved being with her family, playing cards, making people smile and listening to music especially Gospel and Oldies. Her favorite color was blue. One of the funniest memories her nephew Lee has is of them in the summertime making snowballs out of powdered milk.</p> <p>Mary also shared a special bond with her siblings who preceded her in death four-sisters, Shirley Brown, Marva Urquhaut, Esther Brown, Rosalie Turner and brother Author Terry. She was also preceded in death by one daughter Sheila Terry.</p> <p>Mary lived a long beautiful life. She was loved very much and will be truly missed.</p> <p>Forever cherishing her memories are her loving and devoted children, William Reed, Marva Hill, Rosalie Hill and Janet Brandon; grandchildren, Tanyell Alstein, Danielle Briscoe, Johnny Yates, Mark Handy, Kenard Dansbury and Kayla Fisher; seven grandchildren; one sister, Louise Ellerbe of North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.</p>
