Roy Ray Longmire, age 82, passed away January 22, 2021 at Parkwest Medical Center.  He was a member of Union Baptist Church in Joyner.  Roy loved spending time with his family and friends.  He also loved working with his heavy equipment.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Anna Marie Longmire; parents, Luther & Annie Murray Longmire; daughter, Karen Sue Longmire; brothers, Ed White, Elmer, Verlin, Harold, Cordell and Delbert Longmire; sisters, Edith, Thelma, Hazel White, Bobbie, Juanita and Barbara Longmire.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Keith (Missy), Kenneth (Cathy) Longmire; grandchildren, Jeremiah (Elizabeth) Heidle, Brittany (Jordan) Hamby, Zachery (Ana) Heidle, Miranda (Cody) Tapp, Elijah (Andrea) Niner, Brandon Longmire; great grandchildren, Maci &Wyatt Hamby, Emory Heidle, Kelly & Ezra Heidle, Sadie & Kelsey Tapp and Elliott Niner; brother, Wayne (Joyce) Longmire; sisters, Betty Seaton and Ruth Draughn; sister-in-law, Louise Longmire; and special friend, Dollie Morris.

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Bro. Jason Lowe officiating.  Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery in the Joyner Community.
