Roberta Ann Stillson, 80, passed away at home following a 10 year battle with ALS. She is again hiking her beloved trails. She was born in Windsor, VT, July 23, 1940 to Doris Ranney and Bertram Stillson. Roberta is survived by her children Rebecca DeLong, Robert Jewett, Randall Jewett, Rhonda Cancelli, Russell Cancelli and Roxanne Stinney; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved son Reynold Carl Jewett. Roberta was active in many causes including Literacy Volunteers, Big Sisters and Girl Scouts where she was cookie chairwoman and handled town wide distribution for Plainville. She was an avid supporter of St Jude’s. In retirement Roberta enjoyed hiking, pug boating and letterboxing. Rubaduc says farewell to her letterboxing family. She will be fondly remembered by her caregiver Jessie and longtime friend and companion Gerard Egan. In lieu of services donations can be made to the CT chapter of ALS Society.
